The NSSP Team hosted a New Site Onboarding webinar on October 6, 2020 to welcome new sites to the BioSense Platform and share necessary information pertaining to the onboarding process. The webinar included presentations on the following:
The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiology (CSTE), in collaboration with Thought Bridge, LLC, recently developed the Improving the Quality of Completeness and Electronic Health Record Data Used in Syndromic Surveillance Final Report which aimed to identify data quality issues and develop short- (6 months or less) and long-term (>6 months) recommendations.
On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, CSTE's Disaster Epidemiology Subcommittee hosted its monthly subcommittee call with a presentation on the use of earth observation data within syndromic surveillance systems. Call information and resources have been included below.

The NSSP Community of Practice hosted its 6th ESSENCE Q&A session on Monday, July 20, 2020. During the call, Aaron Kite-Powell (CDC) and Wayne Loschen (JHU-APL) provided NSSP-ESSENCE updates and answered the community's questions on ESSENCE functions and features.
