The presentation will be an overview of veterinary services, and why one health is important; It will include the role of veterinary services in One Health and examples from the field of veterinary services One Health collaborations.

Morgan Hennessey, DVM, MPH, DACVPM, Epidemiologist-Risk Identification, USDA-APHIS-Veterinary Services, Center for Epidemiology & Animal Health
Dr. Morgan Hennessey was awarded a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University, and Masters of Public Health from the University of Minnesota and completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota Center for Animal health and Food Safety. He joined the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service in 2011 as a Veterinary Medical Officer in Albany, New York. From 2014-2016 he served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention assigned to the Arboviral Diseases Branch in Fort Collins, Colorado and responded to both the West African Ebola virus outbreak in 2014, and the Zika virus outbreak in 2015. Dr. Hennessey is currently an epidemiologist on the risk identification team in the Center for Epidemiology and Animal Health.
