Translational Research for Surveillance

The following presentation was given as part of the Integrated Surveillance Seminar Series from the National Center for Public Health Informatics and provides an overview of public health informatics translational research including how to identify requirements for this type of research to assit with automating disease surveillance. This research led to the development of the ESSENCE Application by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and the introduction of selective surveillance enhancement prodjects to improve publich health awareness.
