The 2025 half day in-person workshop “Connecting the Dots: Collaborate, Refine, Elevate Syndromic Surveillance” convened syndromic surveillance practitioners of various skill levels to build connections, explore shared experiences, and share & apply best practices. The workshop provided an opportunity for attendees to learn how syndromic surveillance programs across the country are structured and hear about the important work they are doing to improve the health of people and communities everywhere. Attendees also collaborated with their colleagues to apply and refine syndromic surveillance best practices to address potential real-world scenarios. Attendance provided participants with the opportunity to participate in practical exercises that enhanced their skills as they continue to grow in their syndromic surveillance practice.
Target Audience: Epidemiologists, informaticians, data analysts, and data scientists that manage and utilize syndromic surveillance systems.
